Measuring Success
HOW WE MEASURE
At LeadersInSTEM.org, we strive to measure our impact and ensure that our services meet our mission and goals. We have developed a comprehensive approach to measuring our success.
Establish clear and measurable goals: We will establish clear and measurable goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) and aligned with our organization's mission.
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs): We will identify KPIs that will be used to measure progress towards our goals. Some potential KPIs for leadersinstem.org include the number of students served, the number of schools and educational institutions partnered with the amount of funding raised and the level of engagement and satisfaction of students and educators.
Collect data: We will collect data on an ongoing basis from surveys, focus groups, partnerships with schools, state and local governments, and educational partners.
Analyze data and report findings: We will analyze the data collected to identify areas of success and improvements. This analysis can help us to make data-driven decisions to improve and grow our organization.
Methods:
Surveys: We will use surveys to collect data on the level of satisfaction and engagement of students and educators, as well as their perceptions of the effectiveness of the programs and services offered by LeadersInSTEM.org.
Focus groups: Focus groups can be used to collect qualitative data on the experiences and perspectives of students and educators and identify areas where improvements can be made.
Partnerships with schools, state and local governments, and educational partners: We will partner with these organizations to help us collect data on the number of students served and the effectiveness of our programs and services.
Outcome-based evaluation: We will use outcome-based assessment to measure the impact of our programs and services on the students we serve. This can include tracking the number of students who pursue STEM careers or enroll in higher education programs related to STEM.
Social media metrics: We will track social media metrics such as engagement rates, reach, and follower growth. This can provide insights into the effectiveness of our communication and outreach efforts.
Fundraising success: We will measure the success of our fundraising efforts, including the number of donors, total amount raised, and percentage of donations from new donors.
Employee engagement: We will assess employee engagement and satisfaction through surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one meetings. This can help identify areas for improvement and ensure that staff members feel valued and supported.
Diversity and inclusion: We will measure our organization's success in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion by tracking metrics such as staff and board diversity, outreach to underserved communities, and program participation rates for underrepresented groups.
By combining these methods, we can effectively measure the success and outcomes of our programs and services and make data-driven decisions to improve and grow our organization.
Impact Assessment:
Conduct a comprehensive impact assessment to measure the overall effectiveness of our programs in achieving our stated goals. This can be done through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other quantitative and qualitative methods.
Partner feedback: Solicit feedback from our educational partners to assess their satisfaction with our programs and services. This can help identify areas for improvement and inform future program development.
Student outcomes: Measure student outcomes such as academic achievement, career readiness, and post-secondary enrollment. This can be done through surveys, tracking academic performance, and monitoring college enrollment rates.
Social media metrics: Track social media metrics such as engagement rates, reach, and follower growth. This can provide insights into the effectiveness of our communication and outreach efforts.
