Strategy Roadmap

Strategy for Success!

Phase 1 (Month 1-3)

Launch Philanthropy Campaign: Develop a comprehensive philanthropy campaign to support the Leaders in STEM mission and goals. Set a goal of raising $5 million to fund our programs and operations in 2023, with an overall target of $50 Million by 2030. Establish philanthropic goals and target levels for major gifts and individual contributions. Conduct targeted outreach to potential donors, including individuals, family foundations, and corporations. Develop donor recognition and stewardship programs.

Recruit STEM Leaders: Develop a strategy to identify and engage potential STEM industry leaders to join the organization. Engage current STEM leaders in our network to help recruit and engage new members. Build relationships with key influencers and organizations in the STEM field to help promote our mission and programs.

Focus on Boston as our First Pilot: Develop a comprehensive outreach strategy to target schools, educators, and students in the Northeast, focusing on the Boston area. Build relationships with key educational and community organizations in the area to help promote our programs. Launch our pilot programs in Boston, focusing on mentorship programs, grants, public events, and outreach programs to underrepresented communities and immigrants.

Concurrent Development of Our Membership Portal: Build a membership portal to engage and retain members. Develop a strategy to create meaningful engagement opportunities for members, including networking events, webinars, and professional development opportunities. Launch the membership portal in conjunction with the Boston pilot.

Phase 2 (Months 4-6)

Expand Fundraising Efforts: Continue seeking funding opportunities and expanding our fundraising efforts by contacting corporate sponsors and philanthropic organizations.

Host STEM-related Events: Organize STEM-related events, such as workshops, webinars, and conferences, to engage with our community and raise awareness of our mission.

Expand Outreach to Underrepresented Communities: Focus on expanding our outreach to underrepresented communities, including girls, minorities, and immigrants. Work with local schools and non-profit organizations to provide mentorship, scholarships, and other support to students from these communities.

Develop Partnerships and Collaborations: Develop strategic partnerships and sponsorships with key educational and community organizations to support our mission. Engage corporate sponsors and partners to support our programs and provide opportunities for their employees to get involved.

Phase 3 (Months 7-12)

Establish Leaders in STEM as a Recognized Leader: Work to establish Leaders in STEM as a recognized leader in STEM education and workforce development in the Northeast region.

Expand to Other Cities in the Northeast: Expand our programs and initiatives to other cities in the Northeast, building on the success of our pilot program in Boston.

Host Our First Annual Leaders in STEM Conference: Host our first annual Leaders in STEM conference, bringing together STEM professionals, educators, and industry leaders to share best practices and collaborate on innovative solutions to address the STEM education and workforce diversity gap.

By following this rollout plan, we aim to make significant progress in closing the STEM education and workforce diversity gap in the Northeast region over the next year. We are committed to creating a brighter future for all by inspiring and guiding the next generation of STEM leaders.
