At Leaders in STEM, we aim to provide all students equitable access to STEM resources. To determine the level of financial aid a student or family might need, we have adopted a process similar to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile, and the Pell Grant model with our sliding scale method.
Applicants will be asked to complete a comprehensive application detailing their family's income, assets, and expenses. This information will calculate an Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The difference between the cost of the programs and the EFC will guide us in determining the amount of financial aid to be granted.
We assure all applicants that their information will be handled with strict confidentiality and will only be used to ascertain the level of financial aid required.
Financial Aid
Leaders in STEM" is a 501(c)(3) charity that operates as a tech startup, uniting top minds in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to close the education gap and inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. We aim to provide over $45 Million in yearly financial assistance to deserving children, communities, and organizations to address the lack of K-12 children entering the STEM field.
Leaders In STEM will begin accepting Financial Aid applications starting April 2023 once our new online application portal is live.
To achieve this, we will provide financial aid to help children access our Mentorship programs and fund the following programs:
After-school programs for STEM education offer financial aid on a sliding scale for deserving students who lack the means to attend these programs.
Summer Camps will be fully funded for deserving students.
Private Tutoring from Leaders in STEM-approved sponsors and partners to ensure qualified tutoring for individuals and organizations.
Charter school tuition for schools that meet our STEM-focused requirements.
Support communities and educational institutions with training, consulting, and financial aid for essential materials, ranging from chemistry equipment to robotics for their classrooms.
See our Non-Financial Aid page for more information.
College financial aid for students who qualify for assistance, offering up to $50,000 per year at leading STEM colleges and universities that are part of our educational sponsorship program and are leaders in STEM education.
MIT, Harvard University, and Northeastern University are approved for our local chapters.

We intend to grow our program across the northeast and the USA over the next five years, expanding our reach to meet the needs of our students, families, and communities.
We are committed to making STEM education exciting and accessible for all children, with a particular focus on girls, people of color, and newcomers to the U.S. We believe in equipping our children, teachers, and communities with the necessary skills and resources to take on the numerous STEM jobs expected in the future.
A mixture of fundraising efforts, consulting services, partnerships, and an upcoming STEM Store powers our operations. These initiatives aim to build our funds to $50 million by 2030, allowing us to give back over $45 million yearly to support our children and their communities.
We prioritize allocating our funds across critical areas, including administration, operations, staff, mentor recruitment, grants for STEM education, and the development of a membership portal.
Our non-profit organization relies on tax-deductible donations, grants, and private and public support to fund our mission. We also have a unique mentorship model where leaders in the STEM field volunteer their time to support our children, communities, state and local governments, and educational institutions focused on STEM education.
To achieve our lofty goals, we need the support of the general public, organizations, corporations, and educational bodies interested in promoting STEM education. Whether through partnerships, donations, or consulting engagements, your support can contribute significantly to shaping the STEM leaders of the future. When you donate to Leaders in STEM, you're investing in a future where anyone can become a leader in STEM, no matter their background. Together, we can make learning about STEM fun, inspiring, and open to all. Let's empower our children to become the STEM leaders of the future.
